So this is me...
I also love acting, waving at trees, and throwing myself around a nice, sweaty mosh pit.
And these are a few of my favourite things...
When I'm not busy working or doing the washing up, I love playing five-a-side football, watching the Mighty Yellows, and coaching my under 13's football team. Yeah I know, that's quite a lot of football...
But most of all I love writing... scripts, sketches, sitcoms, song lyrics, stories, plays, poems... for children, adults and everyone in between...
I've been lucky (and hard-working) enough to make my living as a writer for over 25 years. I'm experienced and highly versatile too, with credits across a whole range of different children's shows, from pre-school classics to game-shows, documentaries, dramas, sitcoms and sketch-shows, including the multi-award winning 'Horrible Histories' for which I've twice been nominated for a BAFTA.

In 2019, with Ben Ward, I co-wrote my first feature film - 'Mr Tumble, the Movie' (BBC / Modern Films). Unfortunately, COVID 19 then arrived and waylaid all production plans, but we are still hopeful it will be filmed one day.

In the same year, I also had my first book published - a picture book for children, written in verse, that I ghost-wrote for a corporate client.

Having spent many years writing and performing with The Cheese Shop, I have a great sense of collaboration and love working as part of team.
​
I'm also very happy working with younger or less experienced writers as an editor or creative consultant. In 2020, I worked as a script advisor on 'Plaque To The Future', a youth-led English Heritage project to create a series of YouTube films, written by new writer Imogen Cottrill.
